Artist Statement

All my investigations within Ceramics are driven by an unrelenting enrapture for the Welsh Landscape.

My current work is an exploration of the physical extremities of nature through movement and force. I aspire to create works of art that communicate the potent unyielding energy of the landscape, demonstrating the geological process of our landscape and how it came to be.

I want my work to have an authentic motion, force, energy and life. This sculpture demonstrates clays use as a language for the landscape; using the materiality and physicality of clay as an embodiment of the energy of the landscape.
